Welcome Everyone In the Baby Boomer Generation

There are 8 million of our generation called Baby Boomers in Canada and 80 million in the USA. We are the largest generation of children born and have influenced economics, education, government and the workplace since the late Forties. In fact, we saved the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company because we bought so many of them. We will continue to influence as we age and with the first of our generation hitting 65 this year we need to know what lies ahead. Through this site I hope to share some ideas and information that can answer those questions. I welcome your comments and suggestions but will remove anything that is detrimental to my readership as a whole. Lets have fun with this site and get informed together.
Thanks,
Dave

Here's an event for the Baby Boomers and Car Fans alike

Do you remember those warm summer nights when you were out with your buddies or even better yet your best girl. You had your hot rod polished up so it gleamed from bumper to bumper. The pipes had that throaty rumble that showed you had a little more than a stock engine and classic tunes were pumping out of the speakers for all to hear.

Your destination was likely your local drive through restaurant where you could show off your hard work and girlfriend a little. For many of us in Canada it was more than likely the local A & W restaurant where you could stay in your car and Car Hops would come and take your order. The inside stalls around the island were all drive in style while the outside ring was the one you wanted because you could back in to show off that shiny grill. Ahhhh the good ole days where a burger might have cost you a $1.50 and for under $10 bucks you could feed you and your gal.

Well,  while the rod is gone and probably the hair and maybe even the girlfriend you can relive those halcyon days once again because A & W is still here and they are putting on a show on August 25th, 2011 and inviting those who still own rods or hot bikes to show them off once again. The event will also support the MS Society and that's always a good thing. A $1 from every Teen or Dbl Teen sold goes to help fight MS.  In fact here's a poster that you can view for more details.
See You at the "W" (Dub)
